Kick Off the New Year with Creativity and Inspiration
Join CNY Artist Initiative featured artist, Courtney Rile, for an all-ages interactive vision boarding workshop! Vision boarding is a creative practice designed to help participants clarify and express their goals and dreams through images, words, and symbols. A perfect exercise to kick off the new year, participants will create their own personal vision boards—collages made from magazine cutouts, photos, and other materials—that represent their aspirations in various areas of their lives, such as school, career, relationships, health, finances, and personal growth. Artist Courtney Rile will introduce her approach to this practice and share some examples of her own work along with tips to engage with this practice on your own. Each participant will have open time to create their own vision boards which they may take home at the end of the class.
This workshop will be offered as a “drop-in” class, free with museum admission – please come when you can, and feel free to arrive late or leave early. This workshop is offered for all ages and is family friendly.
Pre-registration is encouraged for planning purposes, but is not required.
