Street Gallery NY by MIDOMA, in collaboration with CNY Arts, is proud to announce the opening of “FIFTEEN MINUTES—HOMAGE TO ANDY WARHOL: VERTICAL STREET EDITION.” This groundbreaking exhibition transforms the historic 1869 City Hall Commons (201 E. Washington St.) into a seven-story vertical art display, lighting up the downtown skyline from February 9 through April 9, 2026.

Fresh off its record-breaking 2025 run as the most-visited exhibition at art haus SYR, this collection carries a prestigious global pedigree, having toured the world from 2011 to 2017. The installation features 36"x36" digital prints and original audio (available online at www.midoma.com) from cultural icons including Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Christopher Makos, and Ultra Violet.

A Skyline Transformed

In a stunning architectural takeover, individual art pieces are installed in every window from the 2nd through the 7th floors at all three corners of the triangular flatiron building. This "Street Edition" democratizes the gallery experience, allowing the public to view world-class art 24/7 from the sidewalk.

The Experience

Visitors are encouraged to "Look Up" and engage with the display using their smartphones. By syncing with hosted audio recordings, viewers can hear the stories behind the art while standing beneath the massive vertical columns of the "mini Flatiron."

“This installation serves as a vibrant cultural bridge,” says the organizing team. “As the City Hall Commons prepares for its $13.2 million transformation into mixed-use apartments, we are ensuring its legacy remains lit with the spirit of the 1960s Factory scene.”
